A First Timer’s Account of the SLA Conference

Mallory Ruth has been kind enough to provide us with a write-up about her experiences at the SLA Annual Conference. She is currently 23 hours into receiving her MLS from the University of Missouri and has been working at the Combined Arms Research Library for the last year.

It is always fun to hear about a colleagues first experience with the conference because it is a grand affair with more classes in the few days than most of us attend in a year.  I know that I have always come back with great ideas!

The document is attached, so enjoy and let me know if you have any issues accessing it.

I apologize to Mallory. I got in a hurry and wrote her name backwards in the post. Apologies!!!

Hello! I would love to read this account (am writing a paper for my LIS class about the SLA2010 conference, based on information culled from blogs, the SLA site and others’ impressions). However, I am having trouble finding the actual text of Mallory’s write-up in the zip file; is it possible to get it in Word doc format? My email is 90puls{at}cardinalmail{dot}cua{dot}edu. Thank you!
